Jeff Wadlow had some big shoes to fill when he agreed to direct Kick-Ass 2. Matthew Vaughn’s box adaptation of the cult comic proved to be a hit with both critics and fans with a sequel always inevitable. The trailer showcases the violent and comedic elements that it’s predecessor enjoyed ensuring that there is a focus on drama also. All the ingredients that made the first one a success seem evident with Jim Carey looking like he’s having a ball as Colonel Stars and Stripes. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz return as Kick-Ass and Hit Girl with Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s super villain getting a makeover and a catchy title.
Kick-Ass 2 is out 19 July 2013 in the UK
