The LEGO movie

In quite possibly the best piece of cross promotion ever we have the first trailer for the forthcoming LEGO movie. There is no denying that the film will appeal to basically every demographic given the universal appeal of the little plastic bricks. In all the previous LEGO non toy products there has been a keen and sharp sense of humour. The various franchise games released over the last few years bear this out with the Star Wars games being a personal favourite.

The film makes full use of  some of the franchise tie-ins with appearances including Batman, Wonder Woman and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles all of which have links to Warners who are making the film. Along with a host of familiar characters we have the voice talents of Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell and in a bit of typecasting we have Morgan Freeman as the voice of the Almighty being.

The Lego movie is scheduled to hit the cinemas in February 2014.
