Bringing superheroes to the small screen appears to be the new trend. The CW Television Network, who are behind Arrow, are now bringing another DC character to TV with The Flash.
The show will share the same universe with Arrow with the character’s origin having been teased in the show’s mid-season finale. It’s a shame that Fox are the ones that are producing Batman prequel Gotham; still there is a lot of potential for CW to create something special.
Grant Gustin is Barry Allen, a CSI investigator who after being struck by lightning is gifted with the power of super speed. Unfortunately others were also granted powers in the storm and they’re not all as nice as Barry. John Wesley Shipp who portrayed Flash in the 1990 series features as as Barry’s father.
The Flash has no release date as of yet but you can watch the trailer below.
