Now online is the first trailer for the forthcoming Bradley Cooper drama, American Sniper. The film, based on fact, is the story of Chris Kyle who had a very specialised set of skills that he used to full effect. He was a US Navy SEAL sniper who is credited with over one hundred and fifty confirmed kills.
Kyle was regarded as the most prolific sniper in American military history. His autobiography dealt with how he dealt with the work and how he strived to have some sort of normal family life away from the horrors of war. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood who is back in more familiar territory after his foray into musical biography with this year’s movie, Jersey Boys. Bradley Cooper certainly looks the part having bulked up a bit to play the title role.
American Sniper will be released on the 16th of January 2015.
