Robert De Niro grows old gracefully in Nancy Meyer’s The Intern. De Niro is Ben, a retired widower who gets an internship at an online fashion site. His new boss is the much younger Anne Hathaway so expect many fish out of water jokes as Ben struggles to fit in with the current generation.
As clichéd as The Intern looks, Meyer’s looks to have created a sweet comedy that takes the usual rom-com tropes and puts a fresh spin on the relationship between the two leads.
The Intern is out September 25th of this year.
